Achernar Class Heavy Cruiser
Commissioned in 2257, The Jupiter was the 28th Constitution type, Achernar
Class Heavy Cruiser Produced. Under the command of Captain Mary Nouhi, she
spent most of her time in the UFP Earth Defense Task Force. With patrols
in the Sol Jupiter solar system. Her main patrol area was the outer reaches of the
solar system and if an enemy vessel were to enter that area, Jupiter would have
been one of the first ships to contact it. After the Sector 001 Defence system was
put into operation, the Jupiter was assigned deep space exploration under the
command of Commodore Thomas R. Walker. Her mission was to chart solar systems
in the far reaches of the Alpha Quadrant. She was brought back to Earth
for updating CPU systems and returned to the Tholian Border for the
Tholian Wars. During the conflict, she was returned once again to Earth
and was totally refitted to a Refit Constitution Class and returned to the
Tholian conflict where she was lost in Battle.
