Gremlin Dirt Modified

This is the first Dirt Modified Racer I built.  I decided to go with Yellow as the color because it is just different.  Thanks to my friend Mike Connolly for getting me real tires, plus the idea of using Tulle for the Netting in front of the driver.  It looks pretty good.  I also had my second attempt of putting in distributor wiring with this model.  It is hard to see, but it is there.  I asked Lynn what number she liked, and she picked 7, so I said that is what it will be.  But most racers of this sort have a letter after there number since there are so many who wish to have the same number, so I added the letter "P".  Just because it was available in my decal sheet.

What inspired me to make this model was the fact that My Uncle Bob who lives in Middletown, NY used to take us down to the speedway when I was small.  I remember sitting on top of someone's camper and watching the race over the wall.
