Alien Face Hugger
I have seen this Model online for quite sometime. A 1/1 Scale Face hugger from the Alien movies. This little guy is the one that wraps itself around the Face of the host to implant the Embryo into its throat.
So I got this guy by E-bay, and started to put him together.
After getting the Putty job done and sanded. I wanted to give him his Base coat. I used Tamiya Flat flesh because it was hard to get the right color. In some of the movies, he is a darker color than flesh, and in some, he is light skinned, almost like a gray. So I decided to go in the middle. It took me about 4 bottles of the Tamiya Flat Flesh to give him two coats. I also added some Clothes Hanger wire to the Tail, and a few of the fingers. Heating the Vinyl would let me position where I wanted his Fingers and Tail to go, but they would eventually move back to their original positions after time. The Wire helps keep them in place.
Now unto the Area where the Embryo comes from. In the movies, it is a bit of a red color, so I decided to add Tamiyas Clear Red. this way it will still have the flesh color in the background.
Next, I wanted to Add Veins that can be seen under the skin, So I used regular Blue and Red Sharpie Magic Markers and made Vein patterns and also darkened the area of where the Embryo comes from using the same pens.
Now unto the Nails. I did the Nails in three shades of Gray. Starting with the Darker towards the Cuticle, and making it lighter as I went out.
Then I airbrushed the whole area of where I added detail of Veins, and Nail color, and as well as the Embryo Implantation area with Tamiya Flat Flesh. This gives the color back to the guy, plus it makes the Veins look underneath the skin like they should be.
And after a Wash and a whole bunch of Coatings with Future to give it the Wet Look, he is done.
